I remember the morbid atmosphere that lingered in the air when I was attached to the geriatric wards last holiday.
I am sure that I will not enjoy myself working in this field because I don't think I can handle old sickly people that well.
The elderly should be enjoying their lives with their blissful families and little grandchildren after having slogged most of their lives away.
Instead, they are struggling with every breath..
**
When I grow old, I will spend my time nua-ing blatantly in the living room watching TV, blasting it to the full volume (because my hearing will deteriorate), and when my bespectacled grandchildren buried in
books laptops ask me to turn down the volume, I will say,
"HUH SAY THAT AGAIN I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
And when they speak with a louder decibel, I will snort,
"MUST YOU SHOUT? I AM NOT DEAF. WHAT A RUDE CHILD."
Then I will complain to their mother that their children are being rude to me in a pitiful manner.
I will be the irritating parent who keeps pressuring my children to have more kids for me to play with.

What is there not to like about kids?
Children are soooo cute, especially those at age < 8 ( when they start mutating into vulgarity spewing, porn-watching pests) .
Little Toddlers are always amusing to look at.
They strut around with an air of grandiose in their onesies and heavy diapers.
They usually walk at such fast speeds that their caregivers have to run in order to catch up.
Their caregivers end up looking like fools running after their little bosses and exasperatedly shouting "don't run, don't run!" or "come back! where are you going?".
Yeah right, the little fellow knows where he is going - to look at babes at the other side of the room, duh, you lowly minion.

The baby bellows, "OBEY ME! or I'll cry. Now, we don't want that, do we?"
The onsie I mentioned above is this

If you think I'm handsome, you should see my dad.

The second onesie says
Miss Muffet's got a spider after her, some chick lost her sheep and it probably got eaten, Humpty's head got cracked open, a big mean wolf wants to eat the pigs, and now you want me to SLEEP?
its cute isn't it?
The moral of this post is: Live a long life to enjoy family happiness.
What you can start doing now, is to eat healthily, exercise and QUIT SMOKING to sustain good health.
If I fail to influence my dad to quit or at least smoke lesser, I have failed as a nurse and a daughter.

I love my brother a lot you know.
I thought I was more generous than getting upset over people's sexual orientation.
But it takes one to be in that particular situation to see clearly where she stands and now I'm sure that I cannot accept it.
The more we love the more we expect and I can't help feeling horrified at what he'd confess to us when he grows up.
Let me explain.
My aunty brought my mum and I to this Wella studio to perm our hair for free because Wella wanted to test their new products.
But sadly my hair was too short to be permed, so the hairdresser offered to highlight red and brown.
The other colours wouldn't do as I dyed my hair black previously.
While doing my hair the hairdresser from Wella thought I had a doll-like face and asked me if I'd like her to cut my hair.
Of course I want la.
I almost jerked my hair out of her snippers when she cut my fringe.
Its so scary to let people cut long lengths of hair!

So how?
Do you like it?
This is something new eh.
What has that got to do with my bro?
When both of us, my mum and I were at the studio, my brother was entrusted into the care of Auntie A.
When I returned home my brother quietly whispered to me in a grave manner what naughty things he had done with another boy who was at that point of time under the care of Auntie A as well.
I tell you, what they did was so bad, it feels worse than having your dog eat one of your puppies.
I feel like crap apparently that's one sided as my brother confessed that it was fun.
Part of me is GRATEFUL that he told me what happened.
The manner in which he talked to me hinted that he was guilty; he knew it was wrong.
[they even washed their hands after that! stop laughing this is serious.]
We could teach him right after that.
Imagine if he were to keep it a secret so that he could keep doing it without us knowing.
The other part of me is FUCKING SAD.
I think you'd understand.
Penis + Vagina = Gross
Penis + Penis= Super Gross
I obviously can't say that to him as he thought the 'game' they played was fun.
I'll slap you if you tell me I should accept it if I love him so much.
If your father divorced your mum because he turned gay, tell me you can accept it.
And this is much worse as my brother is like my son; I watched him grow since he was still a sperm in the womb.
It is a personal failure on my part if he turns out abnormal.
Think about everything he'd face as an adult in society.
I choose horny straight over decent gay anytime I swear.
Gosh please let this be our overreacting, I mean, they're kids after all.
My sister read somewhere that children are especially curious about body parts at this age.
Please tell me your siblings did that too when they were young, and they turned out alright.
I feel so much better now.

I quit my job last friday it was also time for a new environment even though people at the office were super nice.
I made some cards for some people who were exceptionally welcoming and made an impression on me.

Miss Yeo.
All of it was drawn by me except the stickers.
I love making cards but not keeping them.
So I give all the cards I make to people during their birthdays.
Everybody wins!
You'd think I've had enough of being a Customer Service Officer, but no, I went to apply to be a Customer Service person again at the Changi Airport.
I suspect that I secret enjoy being irritated by people.
I'm offially unemployed now which means that I have lots of free time on my hands.
I went to watch the girls junior soccer team play against VJ and, oh my, how did it manage to feel so much like last year's finals? [except that it was against the same team, at the same place, with the same outcome even..]
Heart pain.
Sigh.
After the game Yas Simin and I went to Pizzahut where they both said they'd rather adopt children than give birth, of course that's if they're even getting married.
So weird these people, Singapore's population is dwindling hello!
Give birth la, do something for Singapore, pass on your good genes.
I think they should watch more PAP Kindergarden Sports Day.
The atmosphere at the stadium was damn high and oddly, the children were more calm than their cheering parents.
The kids must have been rolling their eyes while pretending that their wildly waving parents were not calling their names.

Those kids getting ready to Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

My brother, the third boy from the camera, is a Casanova.
You can't tell in this picture but he's holding a girl's hand.
Everyone else was walking as individual units except the two of them.
Way to go, brother!

He's a pretty boy.
Lets see how a hairband would look on him.

Okay how about from this angle.

He got kind of upset that we were turning him into a girl.

A pic my brother took of me.

He's a pampered boy who doesn't like the sun.

Purple team rocks.

I like her hair.
Those children were so adorable you'd want to just bite them.
My elder sister and I were walking behind my brother when she suddenly said, 'I want to pinch Xuan's butt.'
I was taken aback,
how can she think of doing such things in public,
as I was contemplating the exact same thing.
We agreed to do it discreetly at home later on.
Ah..What a cute brother.
I just checked online and guess what? I got accepted into Nursing NUS!

The thing I look forward most to every morning when I crawl up at 6 am is sleep.
What kind of life is this.
My need to sleep is insatiable its so bad I look forward to lunch time so that I can steal a nap at the children's reading area.
When I go home I can't wait to sleep on the bus or mrt.
Its never-ending.
And when the stupid 520pm bus doesn't come the usual 530pm and 520pm passengers all cramp up the 530 bus.
Like today.
I was so irritated but I couldn't find anything to target my anger at, so I just kept giving my stalker dirty looks and deliberately shifting away when he comes near.
Actually this stalker thing might just be my imagination la.
He doesn't try to talk to me or drop at my stop anymore.
Maybe he just likes being on the same bus as me.
Maybe he likes to see grouchy faces who ignore him when he says hi.
Yiteng and I have been going to Amore religiously cus our $53 a month unlimited package is ending soon.
Those Amore people are so calculating, they wouldn't extend my package for the 3 days I went to Jakarta, which they clearly stated in the registration form that it can be done.
Its already the third week I joined.!
Guess how much weight I lost-
No prizes for guessing right.
I lost zero la obviously.
To live a taitai Indonesian-Chinese life for 3 days negated all the fitness I gained.
There was so much good food and me and weiwei had such a good host that we had people feeding us while we laid on the bed watching HEROS and Desperate Housewives.
Thanks man Menny.
You are the best host in the whole wide world.
Menny, being the best host in the whole wide world, brought us to the pirate mall where they sold so many pirated DVDs and softwares at cheapo prices.
I bought like 3 DVDs cus I was too hum ji to cross the customs with too many shiny discs flashing in the luggage.
I already watched the Ghost Train with my mummy but it sucked.
There were no subtitles and both of us can't understand Japanese.
The rough story we understand la but those parts about how the first ghost appeared and that goat-like statue's role are not clear.
Anybody who's watched before can tell me?
I have problems watching the other DVD though.
The first time I switched it on my parents wanted to watch with me.
I refused to.
You must be crazy will you watch American Pie 3: The Naked Mile with your papa and mama?
So I left the room and they continued.
I tried to watch it the next day after I came home from Amore.
My brother has apparently matured a little during my Jakarta trip as he caught on that I didn't want him to stand behind me when those American college girls were running stark naked on tv.
It was so annoying.
Everytime I hear his footsteps coming from the corridor I pause the DVD and switch the TV to Channel 8.
He kept coming in and out and in and out while encouraging me:
'Jiejie watch your show la. What are you watching?'
He sat on the floor toying with some miniature train and keeping his eyes slanted to the TV.
Sian!
So after 4 days of trying to watch it I'm really fed-up.
Might not continue watching it already la.
Watch one DVD have to spend so much effort and be so sneaky.
I need to sleep now. (highlight of the day! sleep! yay!)

I'm so glad to have talked to papa when I reached home from Amore.
I thought he'd be angry with me forever for all those sms-es I didn't reply.
Which I didn't do on purpose.
Last saturday I told him I was going home late he went mad smsing me every half an hour going, 'what time are you going home?' , 'I'll be around that area call me when you leave' and 'now what time already how late is late'.
All these sms-es required immediate diplomatic replies which I wasn't in the mood to do la.
So I just ignored him because I didn't know how to reply also.
When I opened the door to my house he was sitting there solemnly waiting for me.
It was 4am I'd be incensed if my daughter did that to me.
That was about the time I decide that I wouldn't want to have daughters who'd stay out at night and pretend I'm not staying up to wait for her.
For me its a different thing la.
What is there to worry about qianwen I can take care of myself, I'm very decent and I don't have a boyfriend.
Aiyo.
So just now when my papa wanted to reprimand me about my recent behaviour I explained myself that I wouldn't do anything to let them down and please don't worry it makes me guilty.
It makes me kind of sad that they think I've changed.
I really don't agree.
I report my whereabouts without fail to my mother so she wouldn't keep guessing and that she'd be at ease.
Looking at this situation I highly doubt they'd allow me to stay in the hostel.
I'm not wild can't they see that?
If you had to say I'm wild... Its just wrong.
I'm leaning more towards the nerdy side.
A lot of things I'm doing now are the same as I'd have done last time if I had the money and the time and the energy.
Can I don't not stay in the hostel?
Please its from pasir ris to boon lay I will die from train sickness.
I think they should trust me more, I personally like my trustworthiness.

My sister [the younger one], she's crazy.
She's shit insane.
The things she does to me, you won't even be able to imagine it.
Does your sister grab your ass and lets her hand stay there while you're, say, cooking instant noodles?
Does she try to feel you up?
Does she invite you to bathe with her/watch her bathe?
Does she flash you indecent body parts?
Does she put oranges into your shirt and tell everyone that there are 4 oranges in your shirt?
THAT happens to me, every single day.
The level of invasion of modesty varies daily though, depending on the occasion.
I'M TWISTED, NOT BECAUSE I WAS BORN THIS WAY, OKAY?
I might be pressing charges if this harrassment continues.
